8HP45 - 8-speed transmission released in 2008. This longitudinal gearbox is a modernized version of the 6HP21 and 6HP32 gearboxes. Initially, it was installed in the BMW 7 series, then it was widely used in vehicles with petrol engines. The number "45" in the name of the gearbox means the maximum torque - 450 Nm. Over time, ZF expanded its offer of 8-speed transmissions from 8HP32 for the "mini" class with a 1.6L engine to 8HP70 for BMW diesel engines and 8HP90 for vehicles with 6.0L engines. This family of gearboxes received a lot of praise, errors were corrected in the early production phase.
