66RFE - The 6-speed gearbox is structurally very similar to the 5-45RFE and 68RFE gearboxes and differs only in some operational parameters. It was installed in Dodge cars (2500 and 3500 with gas engines). Differences between the 66RFE and the 5-45RFE include the extension housing and the output shaft. The common elements between these two gearboxes are: converter, pump, overdrive, forward and reverse gear clutches and the controller. The 66RFE also includes components from the 68RFE gearbox such as: Low/Reverse gear clutches, planetary gear and 2C clutch.
